How prescient! Those folks with home computers in 1981 were true pioneers, and so were the newspaper staff members who kept plugging away at a project they didn't think would be a high income producer.
Interestingly, in 1981 I worked in television at what was KRON's sister station, KAKE-TV, in Wichita.

Anne, that is interesting. Were computers used at all there?
I'm also struck by how enthusiastic the newspaper staff seems, and how they imagined it might be valuable in other ways--
